Spears Racing New KTM RC390 DUKE /RC 390 -Slipper Clutch is computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing billet Slipper Clutch and is produced from EN AW 7075 aerospace aluminum alloy which has excellent mechanical properties, exhibits good ductility, high strength, toughness and good resistance to fatigue. Each unit is hard anodized which is Type III which is done under more exacting process conditions resulting in a harder, denser, thicker, and more abrasion resistant coating for increase durability and longevity.
WHY DO YOU NEED A SLIPPER CLUTCH?
The reason is simple – the slipper clutch reduces rear wheel chatter on downshifting, allowing better chassis stability under braking and corner entry thus reducing the chances of crashing. This designed will allow the rider to reduce lap times as a result of better grip and more confidence. One of the greatest features of this slipper is reducing over-torqueing of the engine and will assist the engine by shifting incorrect gear is nearly impossible.
Slipper Clutch Design will prevent damage to the engine and gearbox by reducing the mechanical stress caused by the back-torque of the engine and reducing the chance of over-revving on down shifts.
Spears Racing’s slipper clutch reduces sudden forces on the inside of the transmission and will reduce wear and tear on the transmission.
