Description
Spears Racing’s kawasaki EX400 Clutch Pull Rod /Bearing kit will allow your Ninja 400 to extend the street or race life of its clutch friction plates simply by setting a new Running clearance.
The Kawasaki ex400 is built as a commuter bike and there is not enough clearance behind the OEM clutch pull rod (distance between the base of the pull rod and the clutch output shaft) and this will allow the stock pull rod to bottom out on the output shaft (Transmission) after only about .015″/ 0.381mm of clutch wear.
This has been an issue on several race engines/bike and since our finding we have been able to eliminate the problem with the Spears Pull Rod.
This is a New Product, it is not a “Re-machined Stock Unit” it is purpose built for the Kawasaki Ninja 400cc,The reason we supply the new bearing is we are able to determine the current bearing size and is a SKF C3 Clearance built.
Combined with minimal friction material (surface area of the Friction Plates from the Kawasaki Factory ) and weak clutch springs, this is a big part of the issue with Ninja 400 clutches wearing out and slipping.
Spears Racing’s built Pull Rod/Bearing kit replaces your OEM pull rod and bearing to allow more longevity to your Stock/Race Set up Slipper Clutch.
No Heat Stabilization – Temperatures up to 120°C,Weight (kg)0.0190
Spears Racing has been on the cutting edge of making new products for the little commuter style bikes for decades, most of these products come from the motorcycle being used for something other than what it was intended to be use for…RACING!!
This kit is only needed on 2018-2019 kawasaki EX400’s
