Spears Racing New Suzuki SV650 Race Slipper Clutch is computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing billet Slipper Clutch and is produced from EN AW 7075 aerospace aluminum alloy which has excellent mechanical properties, exhibits good ductility, high strength, toughness and good resistance to fatigue. Each unit is hard anodized which is Type III which is done under more exacting process conditions resulting in a harder, denser, thicker, and more abrasion resistant coating for increase durability and longevity.
Spears Racing newest SV650 Slipper Racing clutch is one of the newest version of the race clutch for high HP high torque SV650 race engines. For several years the SV650 has been making more and more RWHP and Torque, the Standard slipper will take some of the abuse but it will not last or compare to this new design. Both the pressure plate (Outer) and the base of the inner hub are lined with steel coated plates that have been machined and are attached by counter sunk machine screws for more wear resistance and longevity, because of this you will be able to add an extra steel and friction plates to the slipper (This is a big deal adding more surface area to the slipper plates) and the hub is taller also. You as the installer need to understand that all clearances need to be checked and double checked(aftermarket clutch covers for the first gen ) and also you need to lay some clay inside of the second and third gen clutch covers and install to see if there is any issues with the slipper clutch assemble contacting the cover.
