Yamaha YZFR3

Spears Racing decided to build a stand alone section “MotoAmerica” on their website to allow the customers to have the shortest way to find items that are “Approved/Authorized” for their race motorcycles.

Understanding that with the current Technical Bulletin 01-2021 prompted us to build a section this spells out the Approved Engine kits/pistons for your Yamaha YZFR3.

The Yamaha YZFR3 is an entry level sport motorcycle, designed to compete with rivals in 300 cc sector, such as the Honda CBR300R,Kawasaki Ninja 300,Kawasaki Ninja 400 and KTM 390 series. It is designed as a well-balanced sport motorcycle, with some design similarity to R25, such as engine (which is bored out). With a low seat height, the windscreen sufficiently deflects the wind overhead.

The 321 cc performance-oriented engine is lightweight, powerful, and has a wide power band. Most of the power can be found from 7,000 rpm to redline (12,500 rpm approx.). The engine uses a downdraft induction fuel injection system and the 10-spoke cast aluminum wheels reduce unsprung weight. The cylinders are all-aluminum. For 2017, the YZF-R3 offers optional ABS. The 2018 Model has dual channel ABS and is EURO IV compliant. The 2019 saw a big change to the bike with a newer style front end(inverted forks) and better lines and of course better electronics.

You will find the worlds leading performance products here at Spears Enterprises/Spears Racing. The first Spears Racing Yamaha R3 was built in early 2015 and was raced at the club level, since then Spears Racing has produced several winning combinations and is currently supporting racers in the USA and Around the world with their products.
