This kit consist of the best Japanese made Frictions Plates (NON OEM) by the worlds leader in manufacturing of racing clutch friction and brake components along with the Spears Racing “Wurx” Clutch springs and reusable clutch cover gasket.
These Yamaha YZFR-3 Racing Clutch kit friction plates come to you the end user after decades of research and development both on and off the race track, constantly striving to offer the best possible friction material for your motorcycle . This Japanese manufacturer racing clutch kit has a 20% increased clutch surface area which mean more surface area +less wear, less slippage and better high performance durability.
The clutch plate cores are CNC machined from 6061-T aluminum, allowing the drive tab width to be increased for better wear and minimal impact on clutch baskets. (125 gms) These clutch plates are made in Japan

The Spears Racing “Wurx” springs are designed, engineered and manufactured in the USA, always race track tested by many racers here in the USA and around the world at all levels of competition from track day riders to World level race teams. The Spears Racing “Wurx” YZF-R3 Clutch Springs are heavy duty and are pre-set, shot-peened, and heat treated for performance and durability. Simply, these springs will allow your Yamaha YZF-R3/MT-03 to have better control of your launches/starts and will not have any slippage or fade while running at race pace.
It is truly no secret that the Stock OEM Yamaha YZF-R3 is a commuter style motorcycle, you will find that the clutch will start to fail/slip and you will be left on the side of the road or on the edge of the race track.
These clutch spring have an increase of pressure and allow less high RPM Slippage .

The Spears Racing “Wurx” Clutch spring are manufactured by a USA spring company to the specifications that Spears Racing has designed for a “No Slip” more seat pressure than the OEM stock Springs.
Spears Racing Clutch Cover Gasket
This Clutch Cover Gasket for the 2015/Current Yamaha YZF-R3 is a special design and the Designing engineers ensure that the gasket is drawn with state-of-the-art software and manufactured with the best materials, utilizing the most current and efficient manufacturing processes. Have an 85% shape-recovering while maintaining strong torque retention – ideal gasket material for machined surfaces.
AFM is a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core with temperature resistance of over 2500°F. AFM material has an 85 percent recovery while maintaining strong torque retention. AFM does not require gasket sealers or re-tightening.
This proprietary AFM (Aluminum Foamette Material) gaskets feature an aluminum core with a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to the outside.
AFM will not stick to the engine case making replacement quick and easy so you don’t have to scrape off leftover gasket material. The aluminum core gives the gasket strength for a superior seal and prevents the gasket from weeping or seeping oil.
