NGK 95399 SILMAR9B9 Iridium spark plugs are designed specifically for the performance enthusiast. Iridium spark plugs offer extreme ignitibility, improved throttle response and superior anti-fouling. The fine-wire iridium center electrode ensures high durability and a consistently stable spark. A special taper-cut ground electrode shape allows more area for faster flame expansion. Iridium alloy has an extremely high melting point, perfect for today’s high-performance engines. Trivalent metal plating provides superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties.
NGK iridium spark plugs currently represent the highest-quality technological solution. They feature an iridium-alloy on the middle electrode welded on in a special process using a laser. One of the world’s hardest metals, the precious metal iridium starts melting at a temperature of 2450°C and is therefore very resistant to spark erosion. By using it, the service life is doubled on average in comparison to standard nickel spark plugs.
